7:00 to 7:45

Room A/B
Joanna Skiba, Master of Whisky
The Classic Malt Experience – The Distillers Editions
A multi sensory tasting of the Classic Malts Selection Distillers Editions
Sweeter and richer than the original brands. These limited production, vintage bottlings of the Classic Malts Selection have been double matured, first for a number of years in aged bourbon barrels, and then for up to six months in either sherry or port casks. Each vintage varies slightly from its predecessor and each bottle has a unique serial number on the label.

Room E/F
Robin Coupar, Brand Manager, The Glenrothes
Why vintage malt whisky? Not just a clever marketing idea.....
Berry Brothers and Rudd's approach to making vintage malt whisky. Maturity, not age, delivers exceptional quality.

Room I/J
Dr. Bill Lumsden, Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation, Glenmorangie Company
Glenmorangie's Brave New World
Dr Bill Lumsden, Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation at The Glenmorangie Company will lead a fascinating and informative tasting through the award winning "New World" of Glenmorangie. Starting with the Glenmorangie Original, the tasting will move on to the Extra Matured Range (Lasanta, Quinta Ruban and Nectar D'Or) and finally move on to explore the newest award winning creations from the Glenmorangie distillery; Glenmorangie Astar and Glenmorangie Signet.

7:45 to 8:30

Room C/D
Lincoln Henderson, Whisky Expert, Suntory
Yamazaki Time: The Art of Japanese Whisky
Renowned whisky expert Lincoln Henderson returns to lead his popular tasting of a full flight of Yamazaki whiskies. Handcrafted at the oldest distillery in Japan, Yamazaki is made from the purest natural ingredients in perfect harmony with nature. Discover the smooth, honeyed taste and uniquely Japanese characteristics that have made Yamazaki an international award-winner as you experience Yamazaki 12-year, and 18-year. Yamazaki Time is not to be missed.

Room G/H
John Glaser, Whiskymaker and Company Founder, Compass Box Whisky
On Maturation and Micro-Blending:  The Compass Box Approach
Whiskymaker John Glaser will take you through the Compass Box philosophies around arguably the most important aspects of making great Scotch whiskies, whether single malt, vatted malt or blended Scotch: 1) maturation and 2) blending different components.

Room K/L
Craig Beam, Master Distiller, Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc.
The Methuselah Myth – How Long Can a Bourbon Age?
While Scotch Whiskies can mature for 20, 30 or even 50 years, the influence of a new charred oak barrel and Kentucky’s four distinct seasons impose a natural limit on how long Bourbon can age.  But where is that limit—just how long can Bourbon age?  Join Heaven Hill’s legendary Master Distiller Craig Beam as he explores rare, extra-aged Bourbons, from 18 years to 30 years, including the brand new release of Parker’s Heritage Collection. Youth will not be served here—respect your elders!

8:30 to 9:15

Room A/B
Karen Fullerton, USA Brand Ambassador, John Dewar & Sons, Ltd.
Sensory Evaluation of Scotch Whisky
Discover if you have what it takes to be on the Dewar's nosing panel? Insight into the art of blending Dewars 18 year old Founders Reserve Blended Scotch Whisky and the importance of double aging, pioneered by Dewar’s first master blender A J Cameron in 1899.

Room E/F
Greg Hall, Brewmaster, Goose Island Beer Company
Brewing the Best from the Barrel
At Goose Island, we pride ourselves on being innovators and leaders in the craft of brewing.  We create beers that define styles, win awards, and capture the hearts, minds, and palates of beer drinkers.  We have been barrel aging our beers since 1992 and have been honored with gold medals at both the Great American Beer Festival® in 2007 with our Bourbon Wheatmiser (Wood and Barrel-Aged Strong Beer) and at the World Beer Cup® in 2006 with our Bourbon County Stout (Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer). Join me in a discussion regarding the revival of this fascinating tradition. Cheers.
